Instead of roads, there are canals.
Instead of taxis and buses, there are boats.
Carnival in Venice ...
Carnival is celebrated in February for two-and-a-half-weeks.
Venetian masks are all different.
Some cover all the face and are decorated by feathers.
Others only cover the eyes and nose.
Masks are very important during Carnival. People are equal with the masks because they don`t see the faces.
People in Venice celebrate Carnival the ten days before LENT.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday.
There are concerts, theater, circus, ballet and fashion shows.
